① 13㎝ × 26㎝ (5⅛″ × 10¼″) Lining
◆ Others
① 1㎝(3/8″) Wide Webbing Strap 5㎝(2″)
① Drawstring Cord 6㎝(2⅜″)
① Button
① Round Ring
Place the main fabric and the bottom fabric right sides together . Stitch them together, making sure to leave 1㎝(3/8″) unsewn at both ends.
Fold the piece in half and sew along both side seams.
Match the side seams with the center of the bottom fabric to form a triangle. Stitch across to create a wide, boxed bottom.
Attach the inner pocket to the lining fabric.
Sew the lining using the same method as the outer fabric.
Remember to leave a turning gap at the bottom or side of the lining.
Turn the outer bag right side out. Insert it into the lining (which should be wrong side out) so that the right sides are facing. Align the top edges (the bag opening).
Pull the bag through the turning gap to turn it right side out.
Sew the opening closed using a topstitch or ladder stitch.
Press the top edge of the bag neatly with an iron, then topstitch all the way around the opening for a professional finish.
When sewing the handles onto the bag, secure a D-ring loop to one end of a handle to hold your pouch.
Your wide-bottomed tote bag is now complete!
Attach the button and the elastic loop (or cord) to the outer fabric piece.
Join the two outer pieces together. Then, place the outer fabric and lining fabric right sides together and sew across the top and bottom edges.
Re-fold the fabric so that the outer pieces are facing each other and the lining pieces are facing each other. Sew along the sides, leaving a turning gap in the lining section.
Turn the pouch right side out through the gap. Sew the opening closed, tuck the lining neatly inside, and give it a final press. Your mini pouch is finished!
