Join the two main exterior fabric pieces together at the center.


Separate the continuous zipper into two tapes.


Sew the zipper tapes to the top and bottom edges of the main fabric.
Turn the fabric right side out and topstitch along the zipper.


Turn the side flaps right side out and topstitch the top edge.
Sew the zipper to the top edge of the zipper pocket piece.
Attach the other side of the zipper to the opposite edge of the pocket.
Turn the zipper pocket right side out.
Insert the ends of the zipper pocket between the folded side flaps and sew them together.


Align and sew the side flaps to both sides of the main fabric.
Slide the zipper pull on and sew both side seams with the zipper centered.
Bind the raw seam allowances with bias tape.


Position the side panels upright against the pouch corners.
Secure them by hand using a whipstitch or ladder stitch to complete.
