Let's get started!!
Place the pocket's outer and lining fabrics right sides together (RST).
Sew around the perimeter, leaving a turning gap.
Turn the pocket right side out through the gap and topstitch along the top edge.
Place the main fabric's outer and lining pieces RST.
Sew around the edges, leaving a turning gap.
Turn it right side out and press thoroughly with an iron to ensure all edges are crisp.
(Tip: Make sure to tuck the raw edges of the turning gap inward before pressing.)
Lay the main fabric flat with the lining side facing up.
Position the prepared pockets on the lining as shown in the reference photo.
Stitch across the bottom edge of each pocket to secure them to the main body.
Fold the pocket upward into its final position.
Then, fold up the bottom of the main fabric (similar to how you folded the pocket) to create the pouch shape. To finish, topstitch along both side edges and the top opening to secure all layers together.
See you there!
