Place the two main exterior fabric pieces with right sides together.
Sew along both side seams.
Align the bottom edge of the main body with the circumference of the bottom panel and stitch them together.
Align the right side of the main facing with the right side of the lining.
Sew them together, then open the seam and topstitch on the lining side to keep the facing flat.
Place the two lining pieces right sides together and sew the side seams, making sure to leave a turning gap on one side.
Once the sides are done, stitch the lining body to the bottom panel.
Place the two ruffle fabric pieces right side together and sew the side seams to create a loop.
Fold the fabric in half lengthwise (wrong sides together) and press well with an iron.
Run a basting stitch along the raw top edge of the ruffle.
Gently pull the bobbin threads to create even gathers.
Once the ruffles match the width of the bag, sew them onto the top edge of the exterior fabric.
Insert the exterior bag into the lining bag so that their right sides are facing.
Align the top edges and sew all the way around the rim.
Turn the bag right side out through the turning gap in the lining.
Sew the gap closed (either by hand or machine).
Push the lining inside the exterior and topstitch around the top edge for a crisp finish.
Secure one end of the handle to the inside of the bag.
Attach a snap button to the other end of the handle and the corresponding side of the bag.
Your ruffled bucket bag is now complete!
