Adorable Trifold Wallet for Kids – Handmade with Love

Adorable Trifold Wallet for Kids – Handmade with Love

Today I made a super cute DIY trifold kids wallet that's both fun and functional!

It includes a zipper pocket, card holder, and even a space for bills – perfect for kids to organize their little treasures.

I used some adorable fabric to make it extra special. You can choose pink tones for girls or blue for boys – or let the kids pick their favorite!

This project is beginner-friendly, so don't worry if you're new to sewing. Let's make something beautiful together!

The finished measurements of this wallet are approximately
12.5㎝(5″) W × 10.5㎝(4¼″) H.

①  4㎝(1⅝″) Wide bias tape 80㎝(31½″)

Cut the fabric and interfacing into the shape of the pattern.

Place the zipper right sides together on top of the outer layer.
Sew the zipper, leaving 1.5㎝(5/8″) on each end of the rounded portion of the outer layer.

Place the lining on top of the zip.
Sew with an allowance of about 1㎝(3/8″).

Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.
Attach the outer and lining to the other side of the zip the same way.

Fold the card pocket fabric lining in half and sew the top.

With assembled lining right side up, center folded top stitched lining right side facing up.
Place the outer layer, right side down on top.
Sew along curved edge using a 1㎝(3/8″) seam allowance.

Open out, press pieces and stitch the curved top.

Place the zipper pocket and the card holder on the right side of the lining. Sew all the way around.
Place the bias tape right sides together with the outer layer and clip in place.
Sew in place. Press the seam toward the bias tape.
Fold the edge of the bias tape over the seam allowance. Then fold over again flush with the seam. Press in place.
Stitch along the folded edge of the bias tape.

You are finished!!!
