Make Your Own Makeup Pouch with a Zipper Divider – Easy and Cute DIY Project
Today, we’re making a super practical zipper pouch that’s perfect as a makeup bag!
It features a divider with a zipper pocket, so you can neatly organize your items inside.
The sides are blocked to prevent anything from falling out, and we even added a zipper tab to make opening and closing easier.
Great for beginners and a lovely handmade gift too!
The finished measurements of this pouch are approximately
18㎝(7⅛″) W × 10㎝(4″) H × 10㎝(4″) D.

Cut the fabric and interfacing into the shape of the pattern.
Open the zipper and sew it on top and bottom of the outer layer.
Place the lining, right side down on top. Pin in place.
Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 1㎝(3/8″) seam allowance.
Turn it right side out through the hole that we left not stitched.
And then insert the zipper pull.
Turn inside out and sew both corners with a 1㎝(3/8″) seam allowance.
And cut off the remaining zipper.
With assembled outer layer right side up, center zipper right side facing down along top edge.
Place the lining, right side down on top. Pin in place.
Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 1㎝(3/8″) seam allowance.
Flip the layers so the outer bag pieces are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together.
Turn right side out and sew the both sides.
Fold the side panel in half, insert the zipper pocket inside, and sew.
Place both ends of the side panel on the side of the pouch.
Secure the side panels with whip stitch.
