Convenient double zipper box pouch Tutorial

Convenient double zipper box pouch Tutorial

Do you want to make a convenient and special pencil case?

This pencil case that I am introducing today is a simple box style, but it is very convenient because it is separated into two spaces, as if two pencil cases have become one.
I think it would be nice to use it as a cosmetic bag or brush pouch instead of a pencil case.

I'll show you in detail how to easily make a pattern, sew zippers and finish it, so you can create your own special pencil case with two zippers and two fabric designs.

The finished measurements of this pouch are approximately
18㎝(7⅛″) W × 7㎝(2¾″) H × 6㎝(2⅜″) D.

The pattern for making this can be drawn by yourself by watching my YouTube video.

With assembled linings right side up, center zippers right side facing up along top edge.
At this time, the directions of the zipper heads are reversed.
Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 1cm seam allowance.

Place the right sides together of the linings and sew with an allowance of about 1cm.

Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.

Place the right side of the outer layer on one zipper.

Fold one piece of lining and place the lining on top of the zipper. Sew with an allowance of about 1cm, leaving an opening.

Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.

On the other zipper, sew the outer and lining without the opening.

Place the right sides together of the 2 outer layer and sew with an allowance of about 1cm.

Arrange the outer layer and lining around the zipper as shown in the photo.
Sew only 1cm in the center of each side.

Fold the lining to match the width of the outer layer.

Combine the seams of the outer layer so that a flat side is formed.
Sew with an allowance of about 1cm.

Fold the edges of the lining over to fit the outer layer and sew together with the outer layer.

Turn out our pencil case through the opening.
After this, sew up this hole, and the pencil case is ready!
