Let's get started!!

◆ Main panel
②  24.5cm × 36.5cm (9¾" × 14½") Exterior
②  13.5cm × 36.5cm (5⅜" × 14½") Exterior
②  36.5cm × 36.5cm (14½" × 14½") Lining
②  36.5cm × 36.5cm (14½" × 14½") Mid-weight woven fusible interfacing
◆ Interior pocket
①  20cm × 32cm (8" × 12⅝") Lining
◆ Strap
②  50cm × 10cm (19¾" × 4") Exterior
◆ Others
①  Drawstring Cord 90cm(35⅜")

Place the floral print fabric and solid fabric right sides together (RST), aligning their longest straight edges.

Sew with a 0.7cm (1/4″) seam allowance, press the seam allowances open

Apply fusible interfacing to the wrong side.

Fold the strap fabric lengthwise, press a center crease, and fold both long raw edges toward the center. Fold the strap in half again, press, and topstitch close to both long edges.

Align the strap ends with the markings, form a loop extending downward, and stitch the ends securely in place.

Fold each dart with the right sides together, align the marked points, and baste in place.

Place the Exterior Main Panels right sides together and mark the drawstring channel openings along both side seams. Sew the side seams with a 0.7cm (1/4″) seam allowance, leaving the sections between the markings unsewn, and press the seam allowances open.

Attach the pocket to the Main Lining Panel. Stitch along the sides and bottom, leaving the top open.

Place the Main Lining Panels right sides together and sew the side seams and bottom edge, leaving an approximately 10cm (4″) opening in one side seam for turning.

Insert the Exterior into the Lining with the right sides together, align the top edges, and sew around the top with a 0.7cm (1/4″) seam allowance.

Turn the bag right side out. Mark the upper and lower boundaries of the drawstring channels on both side seams and draw horizontal lines with a disappearing fabric marker or fine chalk pen. Topstitch along the marked lines.

Use a safety pin or bodkin to thread the first drawstring through one channel, bringing both ends out through the same opening. Repeat with the second drawstring through the opposite channel. Tie secure knots at the ends to prevent the drawstrings from slipping back into the channels, then pull them evenly to close the bag.
