Beginner-Friendly 2-Way Fabric Bottle & Tumbler Carrier Tote

Beginner-Friendly 2-Way Fabric Bottle & Tumbler Carrier Tote

Let’s sew a reusable fabric carrier that fits water bottles, tumblers, and even a wine bottle.

With a quick pull of the strap, it switches from a handheld tote to a comfy shoulder sling—perfect for errands, picnics, or gifting.
The construction is straight-stitch friendly, making it ideal for beginners who want a quick win.

You can upcycle fabric scraps and customize the height or diameter to match your favorite bottle.
Grab your machine and a cup of tea—this is a relaxing, practical make you’ll reach for again and again.

The finished measurements of this bag are approximately
9㎝(3⅝″) W × 25㎝(9⅞″) H × 9㎝(3⅝″) D.

Then fold 1㎝(3/8″) each edge in toward the middle and press.
Stitch along both long edges of the strap, 3㎜ (1/8″) from the edge.
Place the strap under the outer layer and sew from the bottom to 6.5㎝(2⅝″).

Place and sew the strap holder 4㎝(1⅝″) apart.
Place the outer layer, right side down on top. Pin in place.

Turn it right side out by pulling the fabric through the opening.
And sew up this opening.
